Don’t miss out on Bebe Rexha’s song, Meant to Be, featuring country duo, Florida Georgia Line. A sweet collab between the two artists about the unknown mysteries of a potential encounter. It’s a light-hearted song with a catchy hook,
“If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be, baby just let it be. So won’t you ride with me, ride with me, see where this thing goes, if it’s meant to be it’ll be, it’ll be.”
The song was birthed at a time of her own personal heartbreak and off of her EP, All Your Fault: Pt. 2 (August 2017) .
Loved the lines from verse 2 and FGL’s response at 0:57. It’s honest and gets the message across. Haven’t we all experienced some kind of fake or hurtful love?
Bebe: “I don’t need to be so uptight but my heart’s been hurt a couple times by a couple guys that didn’t treat me right I ain’t gonna lie, I ain’t gonna lie ‘cause I’m tired of the fake love, show me what you’re made of boy, make me believe.”
Florida Georgia Line: “Whoa hold up, girl, don’t you know you’re beautiful? And it’s easy to see.”
I appreciated this song because it leaves room for the unknown and possibilities. Innocence before the heartaches and pulling teeth. Love costs something, a risk to love, a risk for pain.
