I've been reflecting a lot on 'purpose and destiny,' since moving to LA, and I feel that God has opened my eyes to 'His' bigger picture. My purpose and destiny in life isn't about music. It's not even my calling. My purpose in life is to bring glory to God in all that I do, and music is just a platform to lift that back up to Him. Faith first, music second. Whether secular or worship, He has deposited creativity in words and melodies in me to contribute back to the community, to ears that will receive. Everyone has something unique that God has deposited in them, and everything we touch reflects God's image and creativity. And we have a responsibility to steward that and grow in our creativity, and pour it back out for others to receive. It is a struggle I will be honest, maintaining a full-time job and trying to fight for the little energy left to do what God has created me to do. Perhaps you feel the same. Creativity comes best from a place of rest. Renewal. What do we need to cut out to create more space for creativity? To do what makes us feel alive? This connects us to how God has wired us, and ultimately points to His beauty and image. Creativity has no limits. And it grows on the soil we tend to and water.
